University of Minnesota Duluth men's basketball coach Gary Holquist has announced that former Bloomington Jefferson High School standout Brian Sykora has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Bulldogs in 2007-08.

A former three-year starter for the Jaguars tallied 1,222 points during his high school career and is currently the second leading scorer in school history. He was twice named All-Conference, All-Metro and All-State, while helping Bloomington secure three State Tourney berths, one of which landed him on the All-State Tourney Team in 2002.
